Blackberry BB Classic teases in an open letter by CEO John Chen

Blackberry CEO John Chen in a recent open letter informed us that the BlackBerry smartphone Classic hit the global market later this year. Chen announced that pre-registration for the phone have already started to inform customers about the availability of the device.


The company definitely has not had a taste of success in recent years. Even when the company entered the same league as the Android with the launch of BB OS10 did not seem to be sufficiently competitive. But in the open letter, Chen said that bringing back the main features like navigation keys and physical trackpad row, which was one of the most sought after features on a Blackberry device. He added that the classical Blackberry smartphone would be a complete reinvention in terms of design and software.

With the fall of the company witnessed last year, Chen as CEO has brought the company back on track by taking some drastic measures such as selling assets, raising money through the sale of real estate in Waterloo Ontario, and partnering with other companies to improve their production and supply chain.

Recently the company has launched the Blackberry passport, did not receive a warm welcome in the market. But, the company has announced that it is committed to earn back the business of its loyal customers.

In the open letter, John Chen said, "We are committed to earning your business -..
