After delaying the release for a while, Microsoft has finally released the Xbox One S game console in India. The console comes as an updated version of the original Xbox One. The Xbox One S is 40 percent smaller than its predecessor, and comes in a choice of white robot color. The new design of the game console allows its use in an optional vertical orientation. It comes with a built-in power supply unit, along with an IR blaster.
The Xbox One S supports streaming 4K video, so Microsoft has partnered with Netflix and Amazon Video. The game console also comes with HDR support for video and games. The device has three USB ports, Bluetooth and up to 1 TB of storage. In the new Xbox One S, the Kinect port has been removed from the back. Now Kinect for Xbox One is compatible through the Xbox Kinect adapter for USB connection. The console comes with the new Xbox Wireless Controller, which offers better wireless signal quality and Bluetooth connectivity features.
The Xbox One S will be available in India on a Forza Horizon 3 Bundle, which is available in 500GB and 1TB storage variants. The 500 GB model costs Rs 29,990, while the high-end version will back you up by Rs 34,990. Those who pre-order the console will also get two additional games - Gears of War 4 and Battlefield 1. The device comes bundled with a 14-day Xbox Live Gold trial membership. The Xbox One S is available for pre-order in the country of Amazon India, Flipkart and select retailers. It will go on sale in October.
