As expected, Asus has launched its smartphone Zenfone zoom in India. The device, which is claimed to be the "thinnest phone with 3x optical zoom," has only been available in the country of origin of the company in Taiwan so far.
The phone is priced at INR 37,999 in India (about $ 560) and is available for purchase at online store Flipkart, which has two variants in black and white stock. ASUS exclusive stores in the country will begin to bring the device from next month.
The company is also offering a package consisting of telephone, Zenflash and tripod. The package costs 39,999 INR (about $ 590) - apparently is not yet available on Flipkart. Announced way back at CES last year, the smartphone is now for pre-orders in the US, and will begin shipping in February there.
