If you own a HTC One M9 purchased from Verizon, you'll be pleased to know that an update is finally headed your way. We are talking about incorporating Android 5.1 Lollipop - and this is something that has already been deployed in many parts of the world, as well as the One M9 units sold by AT & T, T-Mobile and Sprint.
And now it's time for Verizon to release it. There are a couple of added goodies there too, perhaps to try to compensate for the delay in some way.
According MB Versi, vice president of product management, HTC, ugly Stagefright vulnerability has been fixed in the new software. In addition, you will also receive the support LTE bands 3 and 7 (1800 MHz and 2600 MHz) roaming, so your phone will be able to connect to even more high-speed networks abroad.
Updating the deployment of over-the-air start today, but as usual do expect it to take some time to reach all the devices there. If you're impatient you can maintain control of their availability to go to the appropriate section of your Settings menu.
