Huawei has launched a teaser, which the company says will bring "a sample logo" on September 2 - the event will be held in Berlin, Germany. While there is no information on the flagship device, according to a report from China, the summary refers to the Yerba August. Adding weight to the report is the fact that previous leaks had suggested that the successor of the smartphone Ascend Company Mate7 come in September at the IFA.
Specifications wise the phone will be powered by homegrown chipset 950 Kirin Chinese company is expected, and sports a 6-inch screen with resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. It will come in two variants: 3 GB RAM / 32GB ROM and 4 GB of RAM / 64GB ROM. Mate 8 is expected to provide a 20.7MP rear unit and a shooting game before 8MP. The smartphone is also said to sport a fingerprint scanner, and offers dual-SIM capability.
