The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is not official yet, but it may not last much longer. Online retailer JD.com briefly mentioned the phone, literally in secret, suggesting the launch is near.
The price of the phone is CNY 8,888 ( Rs, 87,443), but that is clearly a placeholder: 8 is a lucky number in Chinese culture. Actual prices are likely to start at CNY 1,200 ( Rs, 11,804).
The Redmi Note 5 is quite different from Note 5A. It will have a screen of 18: 9 (1.080 x 2.160 pixels) and two cameras in the back. It could be powered by the Snapdragon 660 capable chipset to boot. The page on JD.com is no longer available and Xiaomi has not yet started a campaign for the phone.
