Paytm Mall's e-commerce portal has announced that it will begin offering its smartphone buyers a 'Mobile Protection Plan'. The company said that this plan will safeguard a user's device against accidental damage. This plan will offer one-year coverage against accidental damage, including screen damage, liquid damage and theft, Paytm Mall said in a statement.
Paytm Mall said the mobile protection plan will be available at five percent of the price of the phone. The protection service will be available for smartphones from brands such as Apple, Xiaomi, Motorola, OPPO, Vivo and others. "Mobile phones are an important part of our lives, we spend a significant amount of money to buy our favorite smartphones, and we are disappointed when it is accidentally damaged and the replacement cost is also quite high," said Paytm COO Amit Sinha.
