Micromax launches on Monday the Unite 4 and Unite 4 Pro smartphones. The Micromax Unite 4 and Unite 4 Pro are priced at Rs. 6,999 and Rs. 7.499, respectively. The Micromax Unite 4 will be available through channels of retail offline while the Micromax Unite 4 Pro will be exclusive to Snapdeal.
The company says the new smartphones Unite are targeting smartphone users first want to use the device in their mother tongue. The new smartphones together are also the first devices to launch with Indo OS 2.0 that comes with features such as support for 12 regional languages, App Bazar, Indo-to-Indo services free SMS, Indus feature, and swipe. Indo OS 2.0 also brings text to speech technology in 6 Indian languages. The highlight of the App Bazar is that it allows users to download and pay for applications without email IDs and credit cards.
Both smartphones have fingerprint scanners and come with dual SIM support. The terminals sport 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera and a front camera of 5 megapixels.
The Micromax Unite 4 and Unite 4 Pro both sport an HD 720x1280 pixel 5-inch IPSLCD screen. The Unite 4 is powered by a quad-core MediaTek processor 1GHz with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of built-in storage. It supports expandable storage via microSD card up to 32 GB. The Unite 4 basis marshmallow Android 6.0 works Indo OS 2.0 on top. It is backed by a 3900mAh battery.
Micromax Unite 4 Pro is powered by a 1.3 GHz processor quad-core Spreadtrum along with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. The handset supports expandable storage via microSD card up to 32GB. Micromax says the Unite 4 Pro runes with Android 5.1 Lollipop is upgradable to Android marshmallow not reveal a timeline for the update. It is backed by a 3900mAh battery.
