Asus first announced the ZenWatch 2 Computex this year. Today, at IFA 2015 in Berlin, the company has revealed all the details of the SmartWatch, including their specifications, price and availability.
In terms of design, the ZenWatch 2 is not so different from its predecessor with a shape that is similar to Apple Watch Motorola Moto SmartWatch 360. As Apple's ZenWatch 2 also has a physical button on the side, and comes in two sizes. You can choose the variant of 49 mm larger with a belt of 22 mm or smaller version of a leash 45 mm 18 mm thinner.
Asus ZenWatch 2 Specifications and Features: The SmartWatch has a AMOLED screen of 1.63 inches with a resolution of 320 × 320 pixels. It also has a Qualcomm chipset, 512MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage.
The largest variant has a 400mAh battery, which the company claims is good enough for a maximum of 2.5 days in the "Scene Mode" while the smaller version comes with a 300mAh battery is said that is good enough for up to two days. The SmartWatch also comes with a magnetic charger with fast charging, which is said to be able to charge the SmartWatch to 50 percent in just over half an hour.
The ZenWatch 2 also features IP67 certification that makes it resistant to dust and water. Moreover, the connectivity options include Wi-Fi, which means you can connect directly to your phone as long as both are on the same Wi-Fi network. On the software front, it runs on Android Wear. While iPhone users will have to think twice before buying an android wear SmartWatch, Google recently expanded support iPhones.
Asus ZenWatch 2 goes on sale in selected markets from October at a price of around $ 170 (about Rs 11,260) and $ 190 (about Rs 12,580) for smaller and larger, respectively variants.
