Last month, we find a report that Apple could launch a new and improved iMac with 21.5-inch 4K screen. Now, Mark Gurman from 9to5Mac claims that the iMac is actually in the pipeline, and Apple plans to launch in October.
Consomac code discovered by Captain OS X refers to a machine 21.5 inches with a resolution of 4096 × 2304 pixels. The code also points to a possible hardware including iMac Intel Broadwell, Iris Pro Integrated Graphics Intel and AMD Radeon 6200 chips M380 - M395X discrete graphics.
The current iMac 21.5-inch full HD resolution (1080 × 1920 pixels) was launched in 2013, with prices starting at Rs 79,900 and the 27-inch model from Rs 127,900. The new 21.5-inch iMac screen 4K (4096 × 2304 pixels) with better color saturation will be a major upgrade. It is expected to be powered by the new Intel chipset Skylake run on OS X and El Capitan.
The new operating system brings a number of improvements and nifty features. It includes dividing characteristic view for the use of two applications simultaneously. Also it brings a deeper Spotlight search functionality, new features for Apple's Safari browser and universal silence button that mutes all tabs.
According to the publication, the new and renovated iMac will be released in late October and November shipment starts. Currently, no pricing details, but if there is any truth to these rumors, we will get to know more in the coming weeks.
