On Thursday, the smartphone maker Gionee China announced the launch of the Gionee S5.1 Pro in their country of origin. Taking design cues smartphones Gionee previous generation, the S5.1 Pro is impressively thin while also offering hardware specifications midrange.
The S5.1 Pro sports a 2.5D 5 inches HD AMOLED (720x1280) display with a pixel density of 237ppi. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 4. Within the device there is a MediaTek MT6753 able octa-core 64-bit SoC clocked at 1.3 GHz, which is accompanied by Mali T720 GPU. Other features include 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of built-in storage which can be expanded via microSD (up to 128 GB).
The Gionee S5.1 Pro comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a front sensor 8 megapixels. The phone comes with a battery of Li-Ion 2400mAh non-removable. The smart phone supports dual SIM capable of 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n / ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS / A-GPS, Micro-USB 2.0 and other features of standard connectivity. On the software side, the Gionee S5.1 Pro runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with 3.0 UI Friend.
The company, however, has not announced pricing details so far, but is expected to cost around Rs. 20000 Gionee has not announced the worldwide availability of smartphones.
