Earlier this week, Sony confirmed that announce "a smartphone more closely" on September 2 at IFA 2015. We are all looking forward to this new smartphone to be the Xperia Z5, possibly accompanied by a compact Xperia Z5.
Before Sony actually announced the Z5, it seems we can now take a look at some images of the handset press leakd. According Xperia Blog, these images were published on a Sony Mobile social media channel, although it seems to have been removed quickly. Fortunately, we can still see them.
One of the press images Z5 shows that the new Xperia has a 23 MP rear camera. Most likely, this will use the same hybrid system that debuted fast autofocus in the Xperia M5. Only the back and sides of the Z5 can be clearly seen in these new images, but we assume that before the phone is not very different from the Xperia Z3 +.
Like the Z3 +, it is expected to Sony Xperia Z5 sports a 5.2-inch screen, although it is unclear whether the resolution is 1080 x 1920 pixels or 1440 x 2560 pixels. An octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB or 4GB of RAM also should be included. Needless to say, the Z5 will be waterproof, and looks set to be at least three color versions. We'll be here to let you know more about the upcoming flagship smartphone Sony as soon as the official details come.
