After launching the Mi Band in China last year, Xiaomi today finally brought it to our shores. The follower of fitness is priced at Rs 999, and will go on sale April 28 through mi.com web page of the company. Moreover, Hugo Barra Xiaomi also announced that the first 1,000 units will be available Smart Band by just 1 Re.
The My band is essentially a fitness tracker with a battery life of 30 days and IP-67 certification that makes it resistant to water and dust. It connects to a smartphone Android and iPhones via Bluetooth 4.0 LE, and has a set of sensors that monitor your fitness and sleep.
In addition, the band also works as a proximity unlocker for Xiaomi smartphone. So if you're holding the Xiaomi smartphone in the same hand that you are using the band, the smartphone is unlocked without a password.
