LG has announced a new brand 5.5 inch Quad HD Display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, IPS panel for smartphones. According to the company, this will be used in the future LG "flagship smartphone to be released later this month." Most likely, this mysterious flagship phone is the LG G4, which is expected to be officially launched on April 28.
Although the screen size and pixel resolution of the G4 will not change when compared to the screen of LG G3 last year, the new IPS panel brings several improvements. LG says the next screen - seen above - provides more vivid and accurate colors thanks to a range of colors 120%. Brightness has increased by 30% (without affecting power consumption), while the contrast ratio is 50% higher than in the Quad HD LCD "conventional" screens. Moreover, the new panel made LG comes with Touch Advanced In-Cell (AIT), this allowing you to "respond to touch commands even with raindrops on the screen."
5.5-inch HD Quad aside, it is expected that the LG G4 to deliver 64-bit Snapdragon 810 or maybe 808 Snapdragon processor, 8 MP Front Camera, and 16 MP rear camera, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage space. Interestingly, the new flagship smartphone LG can also come with a user experience dual mode. Well, we are waiting for April 28 to see exactly what will bring.
