The latest release of Intex in the ELYT series of devices, the ELYT e7, brought a 5.2-inch HD screen and a fingerprint scanner to the budget segment. Prior to that, Intex ELYT-e1 was released under Rs 7,000 with a selfie flash and Snapdragon 410 SoC. Now, the local manufacturer has extended the ELYT series with the launch of the latest ELYT dual.
The Dual ELYT has been equipped with dual 8 megapixel + 2 megapixel cameras on the front, accompanied by an LED flash. Intex says that front cameras can apply a bokeh effect in real time, and also allows users to adjust the focus later using the integrated editor.
The dual camera module on the front also allows users to change the background and the foreground of the image conveniently. The main module of the camera on the rear panel is an 8 megapixel unit accompanied by an LED flash. Other camera options on the device include 3D noise reduction, the ability to add audio to images, live filters, night shot, spy camera and professional mode.
Turning to the main specifications of the phone, the Intex ELYT Dual is the first smartphone in India that is powered by Spreadtrum 9850 SoC quad-core and 1.3 GHz. The processor has been coupled to 2 gigs of RAM and 16 GB of Integrated storage, which can be further expanded up to 128 GB with a microSD card.
On the front of the screen, there is a 5-inch IPS unit with HD resolution and a curved 2.5D glass layer on top. The device runs Android 7.0 Nougat from the factory and is powered by a 2,400 mAh battery. the device is offered in two shades: black and champagne. It will return buyers interested in Rs 6,999, sold through online and offline channels.
