The company is now offering an additional year of warranty for the G6 stateside with no additional cost for US customers only. All that is required is for G6 owners to register their devices at here on LG G6 extended warranty. And although this offer was launched today, you qualify even if you have purchased G6 at some point in the past. Again, you just need to sign up.
After you have done that, the one year standard warranty will be extended to two years. You also get "a service experience that gives you a replacement phone quickly". What exactly does this mean, you ask? Well, if the defective unit you send is "confirmed as covered by the limited warranty", you will have the replacement on your door within two business days. And they are counted since you have set the defective device. Oh, and shipping both ways is covered by LG. The only caveat here is that you can not be sure if the new phone will receive you a replacement will be new or refurbished - it could be either.
