How small can a smartphone be? Do not! We're not talking about those little feature phones, but a full smartphone. At a time when a 4-inch device is too small for most of us, Unihertz people have come up with a Kickstarter project, whose first result is "Jelly." This super mini smartphone can fit into your fist without any problem and do not be surprised here as it runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.
It comes with a tiny 2.45-inch TFT LCD screen that surely will not surprise you with its quality, but that's not the USP here. The device is powered by a 1.1 GHz Quad-Core processor, along with a Gig of RAM and internal storage of 8GB (accessible to the 3.5GB user), which can be expanded through a dedicated microSD card. It has a removable 950 mAh battery and does have a 3.5 mm headphone jack. If you are wondering about the camera, although the quality is not the best here obviously, but the company has still managed to fit both the front and back camera. Finally, we have dual SIM functionality as well.
All this for a price of $ 79, which is around Rs 4999, although we are very skeptical if this device will come to India. However, this smart phone is worth all the attention. And if these specifications are not up to the mark for you, the company has also introduced Jelly Pro, which comes with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage.
You have to understand here that Jelly can not be your main smartphone, definitely not if you are someone like me who is a full time geek. However, the company is not aimed at people like me either. Jelly is for those who like super pocketable phones, but do not want to lose the functionality offered by a smartphone. Or, you can easily be your secondary phone for your next vacation, training session or just be there in your pocket for secondary use.
As for use, we have not had the device in our hands, but critics around the world are full of praise. Of course, the use can suffer a lot on the screen this size, but Unihertz seems to have done a good job here. We also saw some of the people writing perfectly on the screen of this small one that looks awesome.
