Motorola has finally released the latest Android Nougat update for its Moto Z Play smartphone in India. The smartphone was launched last year in India with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system. The update comes with the newer version NPN25.137-15-2. The Moto Z Play with Android Nougat operating system was detected in December of last year as the device got WiFi certification from the WiFi Alliance (WFA).
Android Nougat brings in a lot of new features of other features including split screen multitasking, plus customization configurations, improved Google keyboard, enhanced notifications and recent applications window. In addition, the latest version of the Android operating system also brings 'Double tap' on the Recent button to switch between the two most recent applications that comes very handy at times. To extend battery life, Android Nougat comes with 'Doze on the go', which will activate even if your nugget running device is in your pocket.
The company advises you to upgrade when your phone's battery has at least 50% charge and is connected to a Wi-Fi network. Users should have 2 GB of free space to download and install the update, as the update weighs 1121.1 MB. Since the update is running by air, it may take some time before it reaches your device. You can also manually check the update using Settings -> About Phone -> Software Update.
