Google has finally dropped the curtains of the new LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style. Both smartwatches run on the Android 2.0 operating system and feature a P-OLED (Polymer-OLED) display. In addition, both are water and dust resistant with IP68 certification in the 'Sport' variant and IP67 certification in the 'Style' variant.
The 'Sport' variant is priced at $ 249 (approximately Rs 16,600) and comes in pink gold, silver and variants of titanium colors. While the 'Style' variant is priced at $ 349 (approximately Rs 23,392) and comes in titanium and dark blue colors. From now on, both smartwatches will be on sale starting from tomorrow, February 10, 2017. In addition, in the coming weeks, both devices will be directed to Canada, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea , Taiwan, United Arab Emirates and UK via both carriers and retailers.
Comeing to specifications, the sports watch comes with a 1.38-inch P-OLED display with 480 x 480 pixels resolution. There is also a swivel button to the right of the watch flanked between two other customizable buttons, with a rubber strap and metal body. The device will be backed by a 1.1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 chipset along with 768MB of RAM, 4GB of storage and will be equipped with a 430mAh battery.
It also has a microphone and a speaker along with Bluetooth connectivity 4.2 LE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n, LTE, 3G and NFC (for Android Pay). Of course, it has Android Wear 2.0 on board and will run on all Android devices with Android 4.3 (Jellybean) or higher. It is also compatible with iOS. LG Watch Sport measures 45.4 x 51.21 x 14.2 mm and weighs 89 g.
On the other hand, the style watch comes with a 1.2-inch OLED screen with a screen resolution of 360 x 360 pixels. The watch style jumps the other two buttons and only have a single rotary knob on the right side, along with a leather band that is interchangeable. Inside, the smartwatch is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100 1.1 GHz chipset along with 512 MB of RAM, 4GB internal memory and a 240mAh battery. It also has a microphone and runs on Android Wear 2.0 OS. Finally, it measures 42.3 x 45.7 x 10.79 mm.
