Chinese company Zopo handset maker enters India, aims to sell 1 million devices in 1 year

He said the company aims to sell about one lakh units per month and more than one million devices in the next 12 months. "We see great potential in the Indian market. While Spain is our largest currently on the market the next 1-2 years, we expect India to account for over 50 percent of our sales," he said. The company sells about 500,000 units per month worldwide. Shipping Smartphone in India grew 44 percent to 26.5 million units in the April-June quarter, according to research firm IDC.

We can also look at launching a SmartWatch in India," he added. Zopo has formed a marketing, distribution and service center with Adcom alliance headquarters in the city. Adcom feature phones sold in India under the same brand. "We have a manufacturing plant of feature phones.
