Sennheiser Launches New Range of sports Headphones in India. The MX 686 Sports and CX 686 Sports are priced at Rs. 4,990 each, while the PMX 686 Sports OCX 686 Sports and will cost you Rs. 7990. All handsets are optimized for Android smartphones, but if you're an iPhone user, you should know OCX 686 and PMX 686 headphones are also available in variants 'i' at the same price.
The PMX 686 Sports and OCX 686 Sports have design neckband with ear hooks while the MX 686 Sports and CX 686 Sports have a standard straight cut. All four handsets include an inline microphone and remote. The OCX 686 Sports and CX 686 Sports offer a setting in the ear that enters the ear canals for better insulation. The other two have an adapter for mounting slide. Sennheiser says the oval wire is tangle free and no cable noise either.
Most importantly, all headsets have passed the qualifying IPX4 sweat and water resistant. Sennheiser SteriTouch adapters bundled anti-bacterial ear sleeve with headphones. Inside the boxes, a protective, padded carrying breathable fabric also supplied.
All headphones use full range drivers to operate in a frequency range of 18Hz to 20000Hz, and have total harmonic distortion of less than 0.5 percent. If the score of all headphones impedance is anything to go by (less than 32 ohms), then it is evident that most portable players should be able to handle with ease.
