First generation of Motorola Moto E, Moto G 4G, and Moto X not receive the update of Android 5.0 Lollipop, and receive directly Android 5.1 Lollipop update. The news was confirmed by Motorola senior director of Software Product Management, David Schuster, that in a Google+ post stated reasons for the upgrade to Android 5.1 Direct Lollipop. He said: "As some of you know, we have been testing Lollipop updates in Moto X 5.0.2 (1st Gen), Moto E (1st generation) and Moto G 4G LTE (1st Gen) in several regions have started in parallel. try Lollipop 5.1 was recently released by Google.
