Gionee Smartphone maker in China is all set to launch smartphone Elife S7 in India in April 4. The device was unveiled at MWC this year. International prices for S7 is 399 euros, which is roughly around Rs 27,800.
Gionee S7 Elife comes with Super AMOLED 5.2 inch Full HD screen, having a 64-bit MediaTek SoC processor and octa-core 1.7GHz with 2GB of RAM. Includes an internal memory of 16 GB and sports a 13MP rear camera. The company plans to launch Android 5.0 software update Lollipop by Elife E7 users for May-June this year too.
The company is planning a worldwide release for the successor to its popular flagship device Elife E7. Speaking to Times of India, President Gionee William Lu confirmed that the new flagship phone company - Gionee Elife E8 - will be released worldwide in June, including India. The company will launch its new flagship smartphone after a gap of nearly 18 months of Elife E7. Explaining the reason for the split, President Gionee stated that the next model is not supposed to be a 'Further improvement', but it would take a completely new design that 'compete with the best. "
In terms of specifications, the Gionee E8 is rumored to have either an IPS screen of 5.5 or 5.7 inches with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and a pixel density of 258 ppi. It is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset with a 2.5GHz processor quad core. It is paired with 3GB of RAM. The device is also rumored to have a 16MP rear camera with flash, autofocus and LED BSI sensor, along with a front facing 8MP camera. Mostly a board storage to 16 GB which can be expanded further up to 64GB via microSD card will be taken. The smartphone is said to run on Android v4.4 (KitKat) operating system.
