Micromax has unveiled a new tablet that supports 21 languages and comes with several value-added features at an affordable price of Rs. 6999. The canvas Tab P470 is the new operator will be available at retail locations and online December 20th onwards.
The Micromax Canvas Canvas Tab P470 series is a tablet that comes with support for two SIM card slots and is available in two different color variants - Mystic classy gray and silver. The device features a 7-inch screen with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. Although the resolution is not one of the best around, considering the price this is something that is common with a device that is more affordable.
Inside, the canvas Tab P470 features a dual-core processor 1.3 GHz Mediatek and has 1 GB of RAM. The tablet has a 5 megapixel camera at the back and there is a 0.3 megapixel front camera VGA for video calling purpose.
It comes with 8 GB of built-in storage and users can further expand up to 32 GB using micro SD card slot. The tablet is powered by a 3200 mAh battery that promises up to 11 hours of talk time and the company also says it can take up to 158 hours standby. Has wifi, Bluetooth and 3G connectivity options.
A highlight of the tablet is that it supports 21 languages of India, which includes all major, as Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Punjabi and Gujarati. The tablet works with operating system Android 4.4 Kit Kat out of the box and there is no word yet on the release of an update for the device L Lollipop.
