Sure, it has a new flagship smartphone on the road in 10, but HTC has decided to launch a new version of the top of the supply line last year. It is called HTC One M9 First camera Edition, and so far it has only emerged in Poland, which became official today. This model borrows the look of the M9 One from 2015, but changes some of its specifications.

For example, the rear camera is now a 13 MP / f 2.0 unit , with optical image stabilization. Furthermore, the chipset used is MediaTek Helio X10, which has a 2.2 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU. Finally, the amount of RAM and storage have been reduced compared to the original M9. You get 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. Everything else is identical to phone last year, however. Therefore, it has the same touch screen 5-inch 1080p UltraPixel a front camera and 2,840 mAh battery.

That first M9 Camera Edition is currently offered by the gaming company in Poland for PLN 1 (which is 23 cents) in advance if you get a contract that is at least PLN 99.99 per month (€ 22.70). So it is at least quite affordable, if not particularly impressive in the department specifications. We assume that the new phone will be making its way to other markets in the near future.

UPDATE: It turns out that the M9 A First camera Edition is actually a rebranded One M9s, a phone that was first presented in November last year. It is not clear why HTC decided to give a new name for the European market. And speaking of that, the M9 A camera First Edition already appears in each of the websites HTC countries for Europe, which clearly indicates that the company has provided a wide availability for the device.
