Xiaomi is organizing an event on July 16 in China, and there are a number of smart phones that could see a launch. Although the reports claim that we saw in the flagship of Mi 5 and Mi 5 Plus, rumors also claim that the company could take the wraps off the next generation Redmi Note.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 has seen a number of leaks in recent weeks. Now he has appeared in TENAA China (discovered by GizmoChina), which has confirmed the specifications and features as well as contradicting an earlier rumor. Unlike some of the leaked photos we have encountered, the device seen in TENAA not seem to have a fingerprint sensor.
Moreover, the overall design is not very different from its predecessor. A small difference that is visible is the placement of the rear speakers, which now stands at the center. Also missing are the metallic materials, which are also seen in previous leaks. It is said that the dimensions of 152.05 × 76.2 × 8.05mm, which is thinner than its predecessor count - 154 × 78.7 × 9.45mm
The announcement also confirms some of the specifications and features of the upcoming phablet. The Redmi Note 2 is said to be a 5.5-inch screen and is likely to come in two variants - one fed by an octa-core MediaTek MT6795 chipset and the other by a Snapdragon 615 chipset.
Both variants will feature 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel rear camera, selfie 5 megapixel camera, internal storage of 16GB / 32GB and a 3,020mAh battery. With such extensive leakage, it is likely that Xiaomi could take wraps Redmi 2 Note where applicable on 16 July.
