Motorola launched the second generation Moto E with 3G in India on March 10 at Rs 6,999/-. However, the property company Lenovo has not said anything about the LTE Moto E (2nd Gen) version. The current version of Moto E is available for Rs 5999.
The second Gen Moto E was announced a couple of weeks ago in two versions - 3G and 4G. The Moto E 2nd Gen offers a 4.5-inch screen with 540 x 960 pixels (qHD) resolution, compared to the 4.3 inch screen of its predecessor. The 3G version runs at 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor, while the 4G version has 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core CPU. Also, the new model has better 8 GB built-in storage to 4 GB model Moto E above. However, the new model has 1 GB of RAM and 32 GB micro SD card slot as above.
The new Moto E also has a waterproof coating. It has GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS navigation. The phone has been launched in the US yesterday in yellow gold, turquoise, blue, raspberry, purple, and red. Like its predecessor, the Motorola Moto E (2nd Gen) has a 5 megapixel main camera with autofocus, geo-tagging, panorama and HDR features and can record videos at 720p at 30 fps. A large addition is in the form of a front camera; although VGA resolution, additional front camera was highly lost in the previous version Moto E. However, the new version of Moto E still lacks any flash light for the back camera.
As I said before, the new Moto E was launched on 4G and 3G versions (not clear if dual SIM or single SIM). In addition, the phone has Wi-Fi, GPS, radio, and Bluetooth. In view of the better processor and bigger screen, Motorola has armed the new Moto E with a larger 2390 mAh battery compared to the 1980 mAh unit Moto E (First Gen). Motorola has said it provides 24 hours of talk time on mixed use.
